What you will do:

  • Subject matter expert responsible for the day to day administration of Wolseley’s Benefits (Wellness), Retirement and Recognition programs
  • Liaise with third-party vendors and provide counsel to internal stakeholders
  • Reporting and data analysis as required to support the Benefits and Pension functions
  • Reconcile billing, premium and invoicing issues
  • Support Payroll administration and Total Rewards when required
  • Maintains benefit records and prepares documents necessary for implementing benefit coverage.
  • Conduct analyses and interpret program rules and policies so that benefit programs are administered effectively and in accordance with the organization’s reward strategy.
  • Design and implement the organization’s benefit programs and activities so they meet the organization’s objectives with regards to internal equity and external market competitiveness.
  • May present recommendations for change or enhancements to benefit offerings to management.
  • Recommend policies that will be beneficial for employee welfare such as accident and health insurance coverage, retirement and pension plans, income continuance, holidays and vacations.
  • Often responsible for counseling employees on benefits programs, and for handling enrollment in benefit programs.
  • Advises employees on eligibility for insurance, hospitalization, amounts of coverage, and claims procedures.
  • May present recommendations for change or enhancements to benefit offerings to management.
  • Study, design, and implement the organization’s benefit programs, such as accident and health insurance coverage, retirement and pension plans, income continuance, holidays, and vacations so employees receive the appropriate benefits for their position.
  • Maintain an ongoing effort to determine and maintain equity with current benefit trends and legislated requirements and programs.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety standards and adheres to all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Participates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to management.
  • Performs other related duties as requested by management.

What you will bring:

  • 2-5 years of experience in Benefits and/or Compensation and/or Total Rewards
  • Applies broad job knowledge of own job area or basic job knowledge across multiple job areas
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to groups.
  • Ability to efficiently operate computers, tablets and mobile devices.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
