Responsibilities:
This job posting is for three full-time positions on the Adult Social Care Financial Assessment Team. The role entails conducting adult social care financial assessments to determine an individual’s capability to contribute towards their care, gathering financial information and expenditure, addressing written and telephonic queries, liaising with various departments within the Local Authority and external agencies, advising service users about potential benefits, and verifying information entered in the Mosaic system by the Social Worker.
The team is busy, and officers must adapt their schedule to handle urgent or priority cases and phone calls. Often, queries involve multiple departments, necessitating collaboration between all departments. We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications: previous experience in conducting adult social care financial assessments or extensive background in providing advice on Welfare Benefits as a Housing Benefit officer, ability to manage a caseload and prioritise cases, proficient verbal and written communication skills, and adaptability to deal with urgent or priority cases and queries. Previous experience using the Mosaic system is preferred but not essential.
