We are seeking a Benefits Coordinator who will be responsible for managing the compliance and administration of Employee Health Tax (EHT) benefits for employees. Your role will involve ensuring accurate calculations, deductions, and remittances related to EHT contributions. You will serve as a resource for employees regarding EHT benefits, providing guidance and support on eligibility, coverage, and compliance requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer Employee Health Tax (EHT) benefits for eligible employees, ensuring compliance with government regulations and company policies.
  • Coordinate the enrollment process for EHT benefits, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
  • Calculate EHT contributions based on applicable rates and thresholds for each employee.
  • Ensure accurate deductions of EHT contributions from employee wages and salaries.
  • Stay informed about updates and changes to EHT regulations, guidelines, and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and submit required reports, filings, and documentation related to EHT benefits to government authorities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding EHT benefits, providing information, guidance, and assistance on eligibility criteria, coverage details, and compliance requirements.
  • Address employee inquiries and resolve issues related to EHT benefits in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of EHT contributions, deductions, and payments.
  • Ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements and facilitate access to documentation for audits and reviews.
  • Collaborate with HR, payroll, and benefits teams to ensure seamless integration of EHT benefits with other employee benefits programs.
  • Participate in benefits-related projects, initiatives, and system enhancements as needed.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for employees on EHT benefits, explaining eligibility criteria, contribution rates, and entitlements.
  • Communicate updates, changes, and important information related to EHT benefits to employees through various channels.
