Description:
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL NEED AS A BENEFITS & LEAVE ADMINISTRATOR:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience with benefit program planning and plan administration. Payroll experience is a plus. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of benefit laws and regulations including FLSA, health care reform legislation, Section 125 regulations, COBRA, FMLA, OFLA, PLO and HIPAA regulations.
- Broad knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations that impact HR related policies, practices, and procedures.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Strong customer service orientation. Ability to handle difficult interpersonal situations with tact.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage details.
- Excellent accuracy and strong detail orientation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Workday HRIS experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
Provides administration and support for current benefit programs and implements new benefit programs. Oversees leave of absences and Worker’s Compensation administration. Takes a lead role in developing and publishing internal employee communication.
- Functions as a liaison between vendors and team members on benefits issues. Advises on eligibility and coverage, research’s issues, and assists with the resolution of benefits matters.
- Coordinates all benefits program communication activities. Prepares communication materials and conducts new team member orientations. Ensures that benefits postings, reports, and notifications are provided as required.
- Coordinates the administration of Long-Term Disability, Leave of Absence, COBRA, Workers Compensation and other miscellaneous benefits programs. Works with outsourcing vendors as appropriate.
- Participates in the evaluation of services, coverage and options and the annual benefit renewal process. Oversees and coordinates the annual open enrollment process. Performs ongoing tracking and monitoring of bill reconciliation, program billing and expenditures throughout the year.
- Leads the implementation of new benefit programs providing coordination between the benefit vendors and required resources with the Company.
- Oversees benefit information flow within Workday HRIS needed. Ensures accuracy of data, identifies discrepancies or problems, research’s solutions, monitors workflows and integrations. Provides Workday training to L&S team members on benefits enrollment processes.
- Provides back up to payroll function as needed.
- Plans, coordinates and oversees Wellness Program activities
