QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Along with your extensive knowledge and experience in Maintenance Planning/Scheduling, you will be a self-motivated leader who will take responsibility for the team and looking to make a difference. Exhibiting yourself as a clear and innovative thinker, you will have prior knowledge of strategical maintenance to provide recommendations and facilitate continuous improvement projects to manage the equipment life cycle and eliminate unscheduled downtime. To be successful in this role, you will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical heavy mobile equipment.
  • A good understanding of the technical aspects related to Mechanical/Electrical systems in heavy mobile mining equipment
  • Effective use and experience with CMMS
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Preferred minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler role in a Mining Industry
  • Experience leading a team of dynamic professionals and trades persons
  • High computer literacy Microsoft Office applications, particularly Project, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent Safety Awareness & Values, ability to grow Safety culture within the team
  • Confidence and Competence collaborating with Leadership & Management to ensure Safety, Production and Compliance outcomes are met or exceeded

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Bengalla Mining Company is currently seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Planner/Scheduler for the Heavy Mobile Equipment team. This role will directly contribute to the continued success of Bengalla Mine.

  • Lead and provide direction for the Bengalla HME Planning/scheduling team to ensure effective and efficient planning/scheduling and maintenance practices of the HME fleet are adhered to
  • Lead and provide direction for the Bengalla Equipment inspector team to ensure effective and efficient maintenance practices of the HME fleet are adhered to
  • Accountable for short term and shutdown maintenance planning activities to meet equipment availabilities with tech services requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance execution teams and Asset Management /Reliability team to ensure planning and execution activities are carried out safely and efficiently through ensuring early procurement of parts and labour with an appropriate level of planning.
  • Assist Asset Management / Reliability team with strategic/tactics review for HME Fleet
  • Monitor equipment performance
  • Work order management (Backlog, Forward log, Average work order age)
  • Monitor Weekly/monthly Schedule compliance in line with BMC Strategic Asset Management Plan
  • Monitor and manage Labour capacity planning in line with BMC Strategic Asset Management Plan
  • Develop and implement planning and scheduling processes using a collaborative approach and promoting consistency with CHPP and Infrastructure teams where appropriate
  • Collaborate with other departments within the business

Reporting through to the Maintenance Capital, Projects and Services Superintendent you will be working in a team comprised of Maintenance Planners/Schedulers, and Equipment Inspector technicians, you will be provided with a rare opportunity to lead a multi-facet team with hands on interaction to improve equipment reliability and performance by ensuring the team is set up for success in the inspecting , planning and scheduling space for short term planning as well as shutdown planning for the fleet of 90+ item of Heavy Mobile Equipment currently onsite at Bengalla.
