Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced BESS Sales Manager to drive sales growth and expand market presence in the rapidly growing energy storage sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales within the energy industry, with a deep understanding of battery energy storage systems (BESS) and their applications in utility-scale projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of success in selling complex technical solutions, preferably in the energy industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of battery energy storage systems (BESS) and their applications in utility-scale projects.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand customer needs, develop value propositions, and drive profitable sales growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience in leading sales teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in market analysis, sales forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support business objectives.
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and other sales tools to manage customer relationships and sales pipelines.
  • Passion for sustainability and renewable energy, with a desire to make a positive impact on the global energy transition.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market share growth for BESS products.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with utility companies, independent power producers, and renewable energy developers globally.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored energy storage solutions.
  • Lead the negotiation and closure of sales contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for our client.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, and operations to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to inform sales strategies and product development efforts.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management, providing insights into sales performance and market dynamics.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities and potential growth markets for BESS products.
  • Provide training and support to the sales team, equipping them with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively promote BESS solutions.
  • Represent our client at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and build strategic partnerships.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sales processes, customer engagement, and product offerings to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
