Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

We’re getting busier, and as such need some more help in the kitchen! This role is ideal for a passionate, hard working individual, with a commitment to high standards and an interest in learning and developing their skills in the kitchen.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Completing ordering and stocktaking to plan and manage food costs
  • Managing rosters and wage costs
  • Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
  • Discussing food preparation issues with managers, kitchen and waiting staff
  • Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
  • Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard
  • Understanding the food control plan and understanding the cleaning standards and processes within the kitchen
  • Ensure all food is prepped and portion controlled prior to service to ensure no food prep is required to be completed during service
  • Ensuring clear communication between the kitchen, front of house and head office
    We are anticipating the role’s hours to be at least 30 hours per week.
