Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
We’re getting busier, and as such need some more help in the kitchen! This role is ideal for a passionate, hard working individual, with a commitment to high standards and an interest in learning and developing their skills in the kitchen.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Completing ordering and stocktaking to plan and manage food costs
- Managing rosters and wage costs
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Discussing food preparation issues with managers, kitchen and waiting staff
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
- Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard
- Understanding the food control plan and understanding the cleaning standards and processes within the kitchen
- Ensure all food is prepped and portion controlled prior to service to ensure no food prep is required to be completed during service
- Ensuring clear communication between the kitchen, front of house and head office
We are anticipating the role’s hours to be at least 30 hours per week.
