WHAT DOES Beverage Technology Scientist?
We are looking for a Beverage Technology Scientist to join our research and development center in Geneva and contribute to the development of new technologies, processes and products, as well as to the improvement of the quality of current products, in accordance with our strict quality standards and industry regulations.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Work Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Beverages and Food Industry, Spirits category is an asset.
Experience in R&D in beverages and food processing, including new product development from prototypes creation to scale-up industrialization.
Proficiency in using laboratory and pilot scale equipment and conducting scientific experiments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Sensory science knowledge and tasting experience.
Experience on botanical’s extraction processing or flavors industry will be a plus.
The Skills And Experience Needed To Create Your Legacy
Educational Requirements: Master’s degree in food science and technology, food engineering, agricultural sciences or equivalent.
Strong Functional Competencies: good knowledge in beverages and spirits industry (most common raw materials, bio-transformations, concentrations, maturation, etc.). Good knowledge on liquid processing technologies (blending, filtrations, thermal treatments, preservations, packaging).
Basic Functional Competencies: standard quality assurance and analytical technologies (chemistry, microbiology, etc.). Food & beverage regulation.
IT skills – Good tools knowledge: MS Office, Formula Management software, LIMS.
Languages: English ? Fluent // French ? Intermediate // Italian and Spanish will be a plus.

PERSONAL QUALITIES:

Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision. Excellent problem-solving skills to address challenges related to R&D, production, and quality control.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

With Our Consumer At The Heart, Your Key Responsibilities Will Be To:
Plan and execute projects and processes in the R&D Department to support the company’s innovation process.
Conduct research and experiments to develop new technologies and production processes.
Optimize existing production processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
Conduct sensory evaluations and consumer testing to assess product acceptability and make necessary adjustments.
Collaborate actively with internal and external cross-functional teams while R&D centers, manufacturing, maintenance, quality, supply chain, marketing, co-packers, etc. to ensure synergy and efficiency.
Collaborate with external suppliers and vendors to source high-quality and sustainable ingredients, materials, tools and equipment.
Analyze data and define the quality control requirements to make recommendations regarding product formulations, processing techniques and manufacturing procedures, minimum analysis plan.
Write reports, presentations, and technical documentation to communicate findings, recommendations, and product specifications.
Established partnerships with food & beverage industry. Be updated on trends, scientific advancements related to beverage & food science and technology.
