Description:

Introduction:
We are seeking a skilled BI Analyst to join our People team. The successful candidate will develop, maintain and enhance HR dashboards using Tableau, transforming People data into actionable insights to support informed decision-making.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop, design and maintain HR dashboards in Tableau and make enhancements as needed to improve usability and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the People team to understand their data needs and requirements, translating these into effective data visualisations and dashboards.
  • Work closely with the Data and Insights team to utilise their templates and best practices and ensure consistency in visualisations.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular data validation and troubleshooting any data-related issues.
  • Provide training and support to People team members on how to use Tableau dashboards effectively.
  • Stay updated with the latest Tableau features and best practices, incorporating them into the dashboards to improve their functionality.
  • Work closely with IT and other departments to ensure seamless data integration and availability for People analytics.
  • Execute SQL queries and provide recurring or ad-hoc reports and updates.
  • Assist in ad-hoc People data analysis projects and reporting tasks, as required.
  • Develop and improve/maintain predictive models for the People data products to support advanced analytics and forecasting.
  • Turn business requirements into data models and generate source-to-target data mappings and other technical documentation (data transformations, design and operational support documentation), in clearly written language (R or Python).
  • Provide on-going support for the data warehousing systems (ETL, data processing) throughout all the development lifecycles, including periodic reviews, development, QA, data lineage and data quality.

Experience, skills and professional attributes:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or other relevant fields or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in data science, data analytics, data warehousing and data visualisation, with a focus on People data.
  • Proficiency in Tableau with a strong portfolio of developed dashboards built with a customer focus at th
  • Solid understanding of People metrics.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and databases.
  • Knowledge of SQL or other data querying techniques.
  • Proficiency in analytics programming languages (e.g. R or Python).
  • Good understanding of database architectures and ETL pipelines.
