Brief Job Description
- Hadoop planning, deployment and administration experience
- Strong Linux skills
- Experience in using Hive, Impala, Spark, HBase, SOLR, Zookeeper, Pig, Storm, Oozie
- Familiar with HDFS, getting data into HDFS (Flume, Sqoop, REST interfaces, etc)
- Familiar with YARN and MapReduce (YARN cluster architecture, resource allocation, failure recovery, etc)
- Strong in core Java server-side programming, shell scripting, Python, NoSQL and SQL
- Strong development skills around Hadoop, Hive, Pig, HBase, Mahout/R, Map Reduce, Spark
- Experience with one or more of Hadoop distributions such as Cloudera
- Some experience in using ETL tools (SAS)
- Background in Data Warehousing / Business Intelligence desired
