The Bid Manager role could be based out of Sydney, Brisbane, Perth or Melbourne and will join the Product Marketing, Applications and Engineering team to support our customers and external sales team.
This Bid Manager is responsible for managing bids and technical enquiries by leading the sourcing, review and submission of technical and commercial offers for large project opportunities.
You will ensure all bids and offers are commercially viable, technically sound and deliver a great customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate internally and externally in management of the Xylem bid process, including the support of our Sales Team in Relating and Discovery around new project opportunities.
  • Select, configure, price and quote to meet customer specifications with best technical and commercial fit, including the preparation of detailed designs, costings and any other bid specific documentation.
  • Collaborate across support functions in the business to deliver a strong technical solution on a range of Xylem products.
  • Ensures the timely handover of won bids/contracts to Xylem’s Project Delivery Team.
  • Improves and enforces strong commercial and operational review, including leveraging Procurement and Continuous Improvement efforts to ensure bids are commercially viable.
  • Bring a Continuous Improvement mindset through the review and action of improvement opportunities in daily activities.
