Description:

As an experienced group benefits professional, you know how important it is for people to feel protected. You have a deep appreciation for how providing access to comprehensive benefits leads to happier, healthier, and more productive employees.
We do too.
Founded in 1941, we’re the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association (CADA), the national association representing the interests of franchised new car and truck dealerships from coast to coast. We support dealers by providing numerous services, activities, products, and publications, as well as serving as a forceful advocate to government, industry, and media.
CADA 360 is one of the most valued services that CADA makes available to its dealer members. CADA 360 Employee Benefits provides a comprehensive range of programs including group employee benefits, retiree benefits and retirement savings plans. Nationally, we insure 78,000+ employees plus their family members, in over 1800 dealerships in Canada.
We’re currently looking for an energetic and committed individual to join our team as a Bilingual (English and French) Employee Benefits Specialist. We hope this search ends with you.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

As our new Bilingual Employee Benefits Specialist, you’ll join a small team responsible for the development, administration, communication, and marketing of our national group benefits plan, CADA 360, with a focus on supporting key stakeholders in Quebec.

Practically speaking you will:

  • Liaise with stakeholders (including Canada Life as the administrator of the plan, dealer members, dealership benefit administrators and employees, insurance advisors, related committees etc.) to meet their diverse needs.
  • Prepare and implement the French language communication/marketing strategy (including preparation of materials for newsletters, bulletins, website portals).
  • Create French language presentation material for various webinars and meetings throughout the year, as well as present and participate in these meetings.
  • Implement and manage special projects involving the design, financing, delivery, on-going management and communication of the full spectrum of health and group benefit programs.
  • Review, analyze, and update all benefit plan documentation (including renewal packages and reports) and ensure plans are administered in compliance with legislation, plan documents, and contracts.

This is an exciting role for someone seeking a public facing opportunity in which their unique blend of group benefits experience, bilingual communications skills, and analytical expertise will be valued deeply.
This role presents an opportunity to take ownership of and deliver on critical projects for our organization. Bringing your industry knowledge and experience to our team, you will be able to identify areas for growth, improvement, and optimization, so that we can continue to deliver the best benefits plans for dealers in Canada.
Our promise is to provide dealers with a sustainable benefits program, here for today and tomorrow. If you’re searching for a self-directed role, in which you can help us make an impact on thousands of people across Canada, this is the place for you.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fully bilingual, verbal and written, in both official languages (English/French)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in group benefits administration or consulting or other closely related experience
  • Extensive knowledge of group benefits acquired through experience, education, or on-going professional development
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) (completed or actively in progress) or other related professional designation would be an asset
  • Experience preparing and presenting benefits related materials to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, human resources, marketing, communications or related field is desired
  • Ability and willingness to travel within Canada, primarily to Quebec, approximately 4-5 times per year.
