Description:
The Position
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Order Desk Clerk role is primarily focused on entering Sales Orders into the ERP System, managing order flow to the warehouse team to fulfill, accurately invoicing by reconciling packing slips and properly filing records. Orders may come in a variety of methods; however, are predominately via EDI, emails or phone calls. This role involves contact with Customers, so effective, quick problem-solving and pleasant communication is a must. Additionally, the prospective candidate should be fluent in French with both speaking and writing skills as to assist when communications are required in French. This position is a 6 month contract position.
Responsibilities
Strong data entry
Recording of Orders: Through multiple mediums (EDI or Manual)
Invoicing: Reconciling Picking Slip with Order
Promotion Administration: Reconciling different pricing promotions to appropriate customer and period
Customer Communication: Following up on Customer enquiries and directing them to the correct resource to assist
Primary Contact for French communications: This would involve Customer calls, emails, letters, etc.
Credit Notes: Issuing appropriate credit notes
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Previously communicated with Customers in both French and English
- Sage experience considered an asset but not a requirement
Skills
- Effective communication

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Computer skills (including basic MS Excel, and Accpac Sage)
