JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Generalist is an ambassador for Lifemark’s People First culture ensuring our employees are provided a workplace that allows them to thrive. You will be a part of a dynamic team providing integral support for the PCVRS employees and Managers. In this fast paced yet fulfilling role, you will partner with the Vice President, Veterans Services and other leadership roles to assist with the development, implementation and ongoing administration of HR programs, policies and initiatives. This will include items such as workforce planning and recruitment, employee engagement and experience initiatives. You will also provide exceptional support to employees in relation to their questions around benefits, compensation, health and safety etc.
In 2022, Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS) was officially launched to provide medical, psychosocial and vocational services under a joint venture between Lifemark and WCG, and in partnership with Veteran Affairs Canada. Services are delivered across an extensive network of providers from coast to coast, providing us the incredible opportunity to improve the access to appropriate & exceptional interdisciplinary care for eligible Veterans, their spouses/common-in-law partners or surviving spouse.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:
- Promoting company culture, values, and positive working relationships
- Supporting managers with recruiting, phone screens and interviews as required, people management, employee relations & performance objectives.
- Assisting with the administration and tracking of training credential/professional development, and performance evaluations
- Provide guidance to employees and management on Lifemark’s People First policies and procedures of the company.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of provincial employment standards compliance requirements.
- Respond to inquiries as it relates to HR policies and procedures
- Make enhancements to the existing onboarding and orientation program to ensure a smooth and effective integration for new employees.
- Monitor employee morale and company culture.
- Collaborate with the Lifemark Human Resources team to develop effective employee engagement and retention strategies.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES :
- Diplôme d’études universitaires ou collégiales en ressources humaines ou dans un domaine connexe.
- De deux à trois ans d’expérience pertinente en ressources humaines à titre de partenaire d’affaire ou de généraliste en RH.
- Connaissance approfondie de Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), soit une expertise ou une maîtrise qui correspond au niveau expert/avancé, particulièrement avec Excel.
- Souplesse et capacité de gérer des priorités changeantes.
- Excellentes qualités relationnelles et capacité à interagir professionnellement avec les membres du personnel de tous les échelons hiérarchiques.
- Excellent souci du détail; doit démontrer un sentiment d’urgence et fournir des résultats de qualité.
- Le titre de conseiller ou conseillère en ressources humaines agréé(e) (CRHA) ou de Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) est considéré comme un atout important.
- Être un vétéran ou une personne ayant travaillé auprès de vétérans est un atout.
- Bilinguisme (français/anglais) obligatoire
