L’Association canadienne pour la santé mentale (ACSM) Ontario s’engage à améliorer les services et le soutien aux personnes aux prises avec des problèmes de santé mentale et de dépendance, et à promouvoir la santé mentale en Ontario.
Le Centre d’innovation en santé mentale sur les campus (CISMC) est un centre provincial au sein de l’ACSM Ontario.
Le CISMC est un projet issu d’un partenariat entre Collèges Ontario, le Conseil des universités de l’Ontario, l’Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance, la College Student Alliance et l’Association canadienne pour la santé mentale, Ontario.
Il a pour mission de soutenir les établissements postsecondaires de l’Ontario à accroître leur capacité à soutenir la santé mentale et le bien-être de la population étudiante.
Nous sommes à la recherche d’une personne expérimentée pour rejoindre notre équipe en tant que Responsable bilingue de la recherche et des connaissances. Ce poste relève de la Chef des services cliniques de l’ACSM /Directrice du Centre d’innovation en santé mentale sur le campus (CISMC). Il consiste à assurer la gestion de la recherche et des connaissances auprès des partenaires du campus et de la communauté afin de soutenir et de faire avancer les buts et les objectifs du CISMC.

The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Ontario is committed to improving services and support for individuals living with mental illnesses and addictions issues, and to the promotion of mental health in Ontario. The Centre for Innovation in Campus Mental Health (CICMH) is a provincial hub located at CMHA Ontario.
CICMH was developed by Colleges Ontario, the Council of Ontario Universities, the College Student Alliance and the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance, in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario, to engage and support Ontario colleges and universities in their commitment to student mental health and well-being. A key piece of our work involves creating new knowledge tools (toolkits, webinars, trainings) to support gaps in campus mental health.
We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Bilingual Research & Knowledge Lead. Reporting to the Chief Clinical Officer, CMHA/Director, Centre for Innovation for Campus Mental Health (CICMH), this position provides research and knowledge management to campus and community partners to support and advance the goals and objectives of CICMH.

This position is based in Toronto and will work closely with post-secondary institutions across Ontario.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • University degree in psychology, sociology, health-related research or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (French and English)
  • 5-7 years of experience with knowledge management, psychoeducation, or research
  • Experience with knowledge mobilization, including webinars, online resource libraries, and developing emerging and best practices content.
  • Community engagement within the Franco-Ontarian community for the purpose of development of knowledge mobilization products, such as toolkits, learning modules, lay and research publications, and policy briefs, using feedback from knowledge users.
  • Thorough understanding of principles and practices of Indigenous engagement, with demonstrated community connections.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities, cultures, perspectives, and health service providers
  • Superior organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Strong research, writing, and editing skills.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Ability to synthesize information for varied audiences.
  • Experience using WordPress and hosting webinars.

Responsibilities:

  • To engage and support Ontario post-secondary institutions in their commitment to Francophone students’ and staffs’ mental health and well-being.
  • Draw on existing bodies of knowledge or evidence from research and other sources, and works with key stakeholders to provide tailored, evidence-informed guidance and practical tools to facilitate desired changes in practice, programs, or policies.
  • Develop and compile French language evidence-based resources for online and offline knowledge management purposes (toolkits, information sheets, webinars, workshops).
  • Create and facilitate curriculum and presentations at regional forums, conferences, workshops and symposia.
  • Through facilitating the collaborative efforts of stakeholders and partners, this role uses effective knowledge mobilization approaches to encourage the application of evidence in practice, program and policy development and implementation.
  • Apply project management skills to their work.
  • Build partnerships with other Francophone academic, clinical, and community agencies and researchers to enhance the Centre’s information base.
  • Maintain knowledge of current national and international best and emerging practices in post-secondary student mental health research and evaluation.
  • Conduct statistical analyses to determine effectiveness of the CICMH’s work.
  • Maintain, update, and manage relevant sections of the CICMH’s websites (campusmentalhealth.ca and www.morefeetontheground.ca).
  • Respond to internal and external research information requests.
  • Prepare reports, documents, and publications for internal and external audiences.
  • Prepare and facilitate French-language knowledge exchange programs, including webinars, videos.
  • Create and facilitate curriculum delivered to varied campus stakeholders, including Campus Mental Health Works training.
  • Support the work of CMHA- Ontario in the realm of mental health and wellbeing as needed.
  • This role works collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and requires a strong sense of teamwork across the CMHA organization.
