Language requirements for the role: Strong verbal and written languages skills in both French and English
Facilitates the centralization and optimization of test program design and development to drive efficiency and streamline processes. It may involve standardization of test programs, design and development process, testing scripts and conducts testing based on requirements established by the business to expedite roll out of strategic and/or regulatory changes.
This role will support BMOIC (BMO Investments center), VFP (Virtual financial planners), VB (Virtual branch) and other related groups
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of guidelines, standards and practices for the assigned portfolio.
- May advise on control testing framework impacts as a result of changing business requirements.
- Leverages deep subject matter expertise in the development of test scripts.
- Assists in the development of strategic plans.
- Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
- Participates in /manages the annual development planning cycle and budget processes.
- Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Monitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issues.
- Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
- Assess change impact to test programs.
- Builds change management plans of varying scope and type; leads or participates in a variety of change management activities including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives.
- Gains approval of test programs from stakeholders.
- Works closely with stakeholders to give input to automation solutions based on test requirements.
- May be required to participate in the performance review process and follow established guidelines for handling performance issues.
- Designs and develops test scripts based on testing requirements, while remaining aligned with the approved test program, business risk appetite and enterprise testing standards.
- Analyzes data to develop test cases, optimizes control testing through the design phase with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Determines tests automation, test scripts and works with development and client teams to source data, apply automation and any technology-enabled solutions.
- Develops desktop procedures to reflect the end to end execution of the test program. Updates the workflow management tool, as required.
- Updates/maintains the test inventory with a mapping of test requirements to programs to test plans and other key data attributes (e.g. execution time).
- Standardizes test program development process to expedite roll out of strategic (e.g. emerging risks) and/or regulatory testing needs.
- Develops a distinct test program methodology based on the test requirements (e.g. test types, manual vs automated, program review cadence).
- Defines test scope based on test requirements and standardized sampling methodology including test data population, sampling rationale, test frequency/timelines.
- Defines the resourcing requirements to develop test plans and reports, and to execute the test program and perform the capacity planning.
- Provides advice and guidance to assigned business/group on implementation of solutions.
- Diagnoses and solves technical issues and provides technical support to test scripts.
- Develops solutions and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
- Provides advice and guidance to assigned business/group on implementation of solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
