As a Talent Aquisition Specialist working in the Talent, Culture & Leadership team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a pivotal role in future success of the business operations through your recruitment expertise. Recruiting a variety of roles to support our large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will own the candidate and hiring manager experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

PLEASE NOTE: THIS ROLE IS A 6 MONTH CONTRACT WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION/PERMANENT.

What You Will Do

  • Support the recruitment process from strategic sourcing, conducting preliminary interviews, scheduling manager interviews to background and reference checks and preparing offer letters.
  • Get creative with your sourcing techniques, tapping into the best resources for the requisition at hand.
  • Take full ownership of the candidate experience, acting as a brand ambassador and developing creative ways to showcase our initiatives of becoming a top employer of choice.
  • You are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service through the experiences and guidance you provide to your client groups.
  • You are always thinking one step ahead, connecting with passive candidates and building strategic talent pipelines for upcoming project work.
  • Assist with your new hire employee integrations, supporting onboarding and providing additional assistance where needed.
  • Networking? No problem! You love being out in your local community supporting the development of Pomerleau’s employer branding and creating memorable first impressions.

THIS ROLE COULD BE FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE

  • 2+ years of Talent Acquisition under your belt, preferably in the construction industry.

  • Fluently bilingual in both official languages, French and English.

  • Good knowledge of your recruitment metrics and can speak to your solid track record.
  • A knack for building exceptional relationships with your internal and external stakeholders and client groups.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor where you love meeting to faces at any place and any time.
  • Experience working in and maintaining an updated talent pipeline in an Applicant Tracking System.
