Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Billing and Operations Manager, reporting directly to the Commercial Director for Business Markets within Flogas Ireland’s Energy Department, offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced operations and billing professional. As our new I&C Energy Operations & Billing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing our operations and billing teams while spearheading the development of an evolving strategy to enhance customer service for our large energy user (LEU) customers.
This role is currently situated in the heart of Dublin City Centre, with exciting plans to relocate to our cutting-edge head office in Dublin Airport Central (DAC) by the close of 2024. We have flexible hybrid working arrangements in place.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Craft and execute strategic approaches to energy operations, setting the standard for exceptional customer engagement and support.
  • Champion overall customer satisfaction for LEU clients, aligning operations, customer service, and billing activities with customer expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, product, and pricing teams to fortify our commercial proposition.
  • Maintain the highest levels of compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Develop personal and team energy market knowledge, leveraging internal and industry sources to appropriately understand market trends.
  • Establish a dynamic team management structure, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Mentor and empower team members, equipping them with the skills and training needed for continuous professional growth.
  • Forge strong ties within team to optimize resources and flexibility.
  • Ensure gas trading tasks are delivered ensuring seamless management of gas capacity and nominations.
  • Work together with trading and pricing teams to ensure activities adhere to guidelines.
  • Develop relationships with key industry stakeholders including network operators in NI and ROI and represent Flogas at appropriate industry events.
  • Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness enhancements, spearheading process improvements.
  • Foster knowledge exchange across the Flogas group, harnessing collective expertise.
  • Propel the development and management of a state-of-the-art customer portal, streamlining service management and workflows.
  • Lead all regulatory and ISO audits.
  • Cultivate trust with customers, proactively engaging with LEU clients and our sales team.
  • Develop robust communication channels and uphold data integrity, issuing timely market updates and reports.
  • Ensure adherence to internal and external Service Level Agreements, providing exemplary customer service.
