Description:

Robert Half is seeking to staff a Billing Clerk role at our client. The Billing Clerk will create invoices, credit memos, update accounting records, customer information, and send payment reminders. This may be the role for you if you are a dynamic Billing Clerk with excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information etc.
  • Draw up needed information for bills receivable calculation
  • Manage customer accounts, check for outstanding debts, incorrect or incomplete information, or other problems
  • Construct reports to company’s executives and senior managers
  • Assist customers and handle billing complaints
  • Issue periodical customer account statements
  • Manage client and vendor requests
  • Ensure accuracy of billing data and fix all errors as necessary
  • Manage journal entries of adjustments to billings
  • Collect payments (online payments, cash, etc.) and check for accuracy
  • Track payments and manage all reminders, and contact customers if needed
  • Communicate with vendors/clients regarding billing adjustments
  • Issue bills and invoices and send to customers via available channels (physically or via email or another digital system)
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associates Degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office applications
