DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 8 years of BIM/Revit management experience and Architectural Design experience, including Model setup and management.
  • Strong Revit skills with experience utilising work sets, Filters, Templates, Families, Tags, and dimensioning while abiding by company and industry drafting standards.
  • Demonstrated experience documenting extended low-voltage technology systems in complex facilities requiring coordination with building owners and other construction trades and consultants.
  • Experience of Autodesk Construction Cloud Documents (Bim360) is a requirement.
  • Demonstrable skills in model management, and project Set per Project Specific BIM execution plans.
  • Ability to create and Manage Shared Parameters for ES families.
  • Ability to create and manage assemblies and Schedules.
  • Ability to design diagrams, floor plans, elevations, section-cuts, cross-sections, and schedules in AutoCAD from redlines provided by engineers, designers & installation staff.

The BIM manager’s accountabilities include:

  • BIM Strategy & Leadership - develop and communicate company-wide BIM strategy and provide leadership to ensure alignment with standards and best practice.
  • Project Management & Oversight: Collaborate on project-specific BIM strategies, oversee BIM execution, and manage BIM team in support and production.
  • BIM Technology & Tools: Keep updated on BIM software advancements, select, and implement tools, maintain BIM library and templates, and provide technical support for ArchiCAD software. Proficiency in pre-visualisation tools and Dynamo/Python Software Languages.
  • BIM Standards & Best Practices - Establish and maintain tailored BIM standards, ensure consistency across BIM workflows and projects and develop best practice including SOPs and data management.
  • Integration of Specialised Systems - Oversee the integration of technology systems within BIM, ensuring accuracy and cohesion by collaborating with subject-matter experts.
  • Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC): Implement QA/QC processes and address associated issues to ensure proper model utilisation regionally.
  • Training & Education - Develop BIM training programmes, foster a culture of learning and development through coaching/mentoring.
  • Collaboration & Communication - Foster company-wide and client collaboration to communicate value of BIM to stakeholders. Coordinate with project teams to identify and integrate client-specific standards and model setup.
  • Research & Innovation - Keep informed about industry trends related to AVC, ICT, SSA, Acoustics, and system integration to explore innovative solutions to enhance project delivery and competitiveness.
  • Resource Management - Efficiently manage BIM resources including workforce, hardware, and software. Manage a global team to complete projects across various time zones. Coordinate software implementation with IT
