JOB TITLE: Bingo Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Bingo
REPORTS TO: Slot Manager
SALARY: Grade 2
Range Start: $16.00/hourly
Range End: $23.25/hourly
CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
SUPERVISES: None
JOB SUMMARY: This team member provides a variety of services for guests during an assigned bingo session including processing sales, verifying winning bingo cards, calling, and serving food and drink items

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • A High School diploma, or the equivalent thereof, is preferred

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

The experience and knowledge requirements outlined here are representative of the minimum that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position however, higher levels of experience and knowledge than required may be reflected during the recruitment process:

  • A minimum of two (2) years guest service sales experience is preferred
  • Experience in cash handling is required
  • Food Handler card is required
  • Strong computer skills, concurrent with demonstrated knowledge of point of sales applications and online accounting systems is required
  • Strong verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with guests and team members of the organization is required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

  • Frequently sits, stands, walks, and bends/stoops
  • Occasionally climbs, reaches above/below shoulder level, kneels, and squats
  • Occasionally lifts/carries up to fifty (50) pounds is required
  • Occasionally pushes/pulls up to fifty (50) pounds is required
  • Ability to transport trays of beverages and/or food items through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift is required

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential duties and responsibilities outlined here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, however, are not all inclusive:

  • Responsible for all Resort & Casino issued cash banks and sales items and ensures all cash handling conforms to Resort & Casino policies and applicable regulations, including the balancing of daily bank and the completion of all required paperwork
  • Verifies all possible Bingos in accordance with Resort & Casino policies and procedures
  • Is familiar with bingo formats and payout structures and further understands the needs of the guests on the Bingo Floor and is attentive at all times to their needs, including the ability to play a guest’s cards if the guest needs to leave their seat for a small period of time
  • Responsible for keeping the bingo games flowing at a reasonable pace to insure a maximum volume of return when calling
  • Responsible for turning on/off and testing all equipment at the beginning and end of session when calling
  • Assists in the repair, T.V. adjustments, etc.
  • Makes accurate and clear announcements of the upcoming events and daily specials when calling
  • Verifies bingo ball count and Bonanza draw before the beginning of each session, using a volunteer from the audience
  • Takes clear and readable food and drink orders and relays the information to the attendant, cashier, or food server to be input into the point of sales system, and confirms accuracy of orders and delivers to guests with appropriate condiments and utensils
  • Responsible for stocking and cleaning of coffee and soda station
  • Performs all duties in a manner that continually supports the vision, mission, values, and principles of the Resort & Casino
  • Performs all duties in a manner that adheres to the guest service standards established by Win-River Resort & Casino’s guest service program
  • Other duties as assigned by the Slot Manager
