QUALIFICATIONS:

  • First-hand experience with generating biological insights from genomics/epigenetics/transcriptomics data, including the end-to-end bioinformatics tools used to process sequencing data from raw reads all the way to analytical outputs
  • Proven track-record of analysing high throughput NGS and multi-omics data in real-world context
  • Hold a PhD or equivalent industry experience in bioinformatics, computational biology or a related field
  • Expertise with statistical approaches applied to evaluating biological datasets.
  • Good working knowledge of workflow managers, including but not limited to NextFlow.
  • Good working knowledge with cloud computing environments, including but not limited to AWS.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an early-stage startup you will be taking ownership of “dry-lab” operations, including:

  • Research and marker discovery related to neurological diseases
  • Feature engineering for machine learning pipelines
  • Providing domain knowledge for multi-omic large biological foundation models (LLMs)
  • QC and data analysis
  • NGS bioinformatics pipeline development (scaling up to 1000s of samples)
  • Cloud infrastructure and core software engineering
