Description:

The post holder will be involved in teaching carers and families how to manage any treatment, management or incontinence containment programmes. Demonstrates a detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of common aetiologies, pathologies, conditions and presentations involving an understanding of theories and principles relating to bladder and bowel As an autonomous practitioner provide skilled advanced bladder & bowel care to children and their families in a variety of community settings To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team linking to key personnel in the acute settings, educational organisations and other external agencies key to the childs health To take full responsibility for a clinical caseload and deliver complex bladder and bowel care to children and their families Work with patients, carers, schools and families to enable them to develop self-care skills with respect to continence management. To act as a key resource for colleagues in developing an increased awareness of bladder and bowel dysfunction Initiate and follow up referrals where appropriate to relevant clinicians and or social services. To work in collaboration with and be an active member of the MDT including community teams, acute services, social services, and Allied Health professionals to ensure streamlined car
