Precision Concepts Calgary is currently accepting resumes for the role of Blow Mold Set-Up Technician.
For more than 30 years we have been a leading high-speed manufacturer of PET Plastic Bottles and containers right here in Calgary. Our products & technology are used daily worldwide, and our customers are recognized brands leaders in a wide variety of markets.

The successful candidate will also bring the following skills, experience, and competencies to the role:

  • At least 2 years of previous experience as a machine set up technician performing mechanical set-ups and conversions combined with at least 2 years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • At least 1 year experience working in a 24/7 operation, including the ability to work a rotating schedule.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience working with the basic hand tools used during mechanical set ups.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a larger multi-disciplinary team to complete machine conversions and processing based on the production schedule
  • The ability to work as part of multi-disciplinary team including the team leaders QA and maintenance to ensure that the production goals are safely met on time.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving and troubleshooting skills and demonstrated ability using these in production settings to minimize machine down time.
  • Excellent attention to detail when performing set ups of machine components and settings.
  • Prior experience operating equipment such as palletizers, box makers, case packers and conveyor systems.
  • An eagerness to learn and understand the PET plastic manufacturing process and business.
  • Physically fit and able to safely lift and handle molds and machine parts.
