Description:

Our client, located in Vancouver, is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Bookkeeper/Accountant and play a crucial role in maintaining their office operations and financial records.
The Bookkeeper/Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative tasks of our businesses while also managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in bookkeeping roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of HR processes and regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day office operations.
Maintain office supplies inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure seamless operations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming calls, emails, and visitors, providing assistance and directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy of financial records.
Prepare and maintain financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Process payroll for employees and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and tax requirements.
Assist with budget preparation and monitoring, providing regular updates to management.
