SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous AP/AR and Bookkeeping experience.
  • A qualification in Accounting/Finance or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive and organised individual.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join the fun & vibrant team located in Pyrmont and put your expert knowledge to use to balance and steer this company to new heights.

As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing all Accounts Payable, Receivable and general admin accounts activities. This will include:

  • Accurately recording financial transactions in the general ledger using appropriate accounting software.
  • Assisting in month-end and year-end closing processes, including generating financial statements.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
  • Generating customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and issues.
  • Processing incoming invoices, verifying accuracy, and matching with purchase orders and delivery receipts.
  • Reviewing and reconciling vendor statements, addressing discrepancies and ensuring timely payments.
  • Preparing and scheduling payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and other forms of payment.
