Description:
Are you passionate about supporting non-profit causes and skilled in the art of bookkeeping? Join our client in Calgary for a contract Bookkeeper role where your expertise will directly contribute to our mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities:
Manage Accounts Payable by accurately entering invoices for payments.
Handle Accounts Receivable, which is primarily recurring monthly transactions with two government agencies due to our NPO status.
Process invoices, payments, and employee expenses in QuickBooks, with approvals from directors/managers.
Print cheques according to our policy, typically twice a month, but with the flexibility to adjust based on workload.
Prioritize urgent cheques for immediate processing.
Receive and manage donations/grants from our fundraising department, including recurring and one-time donations.
Conduct monthly reconciliations with the fundraising department, entering data into the fundraising system and issuing tax receipts.
Maintain a sense of the organization’s total revenue vs. gross revenue, making accurate entries into QuickBooks’ deposit module.
Ad-hoc duties as requested.
