Description:
We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper in Austin, Texas. This role encompasses a blend of administrative and financial responsibilities, requiring proficiency in accounting software and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day administrative tasks such as answering phone calls and maintaining a safe and well-organized workspace
- Manage and track merchandise sales and records, including purchases and deliveries
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) to manage the company’s daily financial operations
- Oversee bookings and registrations using relevant software systems
- Professionally handle interruptions, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills
- Track and manage bill payments, including entering, printing, and paying bills
- Handle new client set-ups and manage cancellation procedures for services
- Perform additional duties as directed by the management team.
- Possess a minimum of one year of experience in a bookkeeping role
- Demonstrated skills in account reconciliation
- Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Experience in performing bank reconciliations
- Proficiency in bookkeeping practices
- Capable of performing data entry tasks with accuracy
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks
- Experience in month-end close procedures
- Knowledge of payroll procedures
- Proficiency in QuickBooks software
- Ability to provide administrative assistance when required.
