As a Bookkeeper, you will earn a competitive wage of up to $55,000/yr, depending on experience. Plus, we offer a $300 sign-on bonus! Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger entries.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure the availability of funds for project expenses.
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.
  • Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to track project costs, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Assist with the preparation of bid proposals, project estimates, and contract documentation.
  • Provide support during audits and financial reviews by organizing and preparing relevant documentation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction accounting and bookkeeping.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, specifically Quickbooks Desktop.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of residential & commercial construction projects and associated accounting practices is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
