JOB SUMMARY:

Your major role will be in Customer Service and to support the Production team in getting the work done. You will be responsible for managing workflow, and ensuring quality. You will responsible for managing a team of 4-6 bookkeeper.
You play a role in ensuring the Quality Control systems and procedures are maintained to support compliance with legal obligations and professional best practices.
You will need to be prepared to assist in bookkeeping activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, BAS preparation and payroll.
You will be processing end to end transaction allocation and accounts management as well as reviewing the teams work for quality assurance.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Team Management including Team Performance Reviews
Customer Service
Workflow Management
Review and at times prepare BAS and IAS Returns - training provided if required
Perform high-end bank reconciliation, allocating various receipts/payments from live bank feeds - training provided if required
Perform technically advanced reconciliations - training provided if required
Australian Payroll Processing, and ability to process technically complex payroll transactions - training provided if required
Process superannuation obligations and complete relevant reconciliations - training provided if required
Review and Prepare EOFY Payroll Reconciliation and Single Touch Payroll Finalisation - training provided if required
Preparing Management Accounts and Reports - training provided if required
Perform client-specific reconciliations and third-party software integrations, including inventory - training provided if required
Xero On-Boarding/Client Rescue Work/Conversion Work - training provided if required
Cashflow Forecast Preparation and Ongoing Management - training provided if required
Reconciliation of the Accountant’s EOFY Trial Balance - training provided if required
Process General Journal Entries - training provided if required
Understanding the flow of Accounting Transactions up to the Financial Statements Level - training provided if required
Carbon Accounting - training provided

TECHNICAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in Managing a Team - Highly Desirable
Experience in Quality Customer Service - Required
High Quality Communication Skills - Required
Australian Xero Accounting & Payroll Experience - Highly Desirable
DEXT - Highly Desirable
Karbon Experience - Highly Desirable
WorkCover, Payroll Tax, FBT, Stamp Duty Experience - Highly Desirable
Superannuation Guarantee Charge Obligations - Highly Desirable
Taxable Payments Annual Report Obligations - Highly Desirable
The GST System and Business Activity Statements - Highly Desirable
Single Touch Payroll System - Highly Desirable
Excellent Computer skills, word, excel - Required

NOTE: We provide in-depth training in the first three months of on-boarding. For those candidates not registered as a BAS Agent, we work toward fulfilling the Tax Practitioner Boards (TPB) requirements to obtain an individual license. If an employee terminates their contract within the first two years of employment, we reserve the right to recoup training costs, and will not be able to provide the necessary substantiation to the TPB for the BAS Agent registration
