QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years of Brake & Shear Experience
  • Second or third year apprentice sheet metal worker preferred
  • Shop experience an asset
  • Knowledge of proper bending procedures
  • Experience programming CNC press brake considered an asset
  • Experience with Cincinnati Laser Table an asset
  • Experience using ¼” plate Shear equipment and procedures
  • Ability to practice safe work practices and properly use PPE
  • High attention to detail required, with the ability to look ahead in the work process
  • Patience and adaptability to multi-tasking

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints to determine dimensions, tolerances, and layout of work
  • Ability to read and understand the imperial system of measurement
  • Determine the appropriate machine settings to maintain critical dimensions
  • Check finished components using Straightedge, Combination square, etc.
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
  • Operate 175 ton CNC Power press brake
  • Follow QC programs and use measuring equipment
  • Good understanding of manufacturing facility atmosphere
  • Positive attitude while speaking with manager/foreman and co-workers
  • Ability to work as a team with co-workers to problem solve
