Responsibilities:

We have an exciting vacancy within the merchandising team for a Branch Merchandising Admin Assistant. This position will be based in our London/J4 Head Office with the potential for a hybrid working spilt between home and the office.

  • Develop an understanding of how the sales and space bandings impact the number of options a store receives and the volume of stock
  • Understand the link between strategic stock planning objectives and operational decisions
  • Accurately implement the initial allocation plans in a timely manner using the Shark merchandise system according to the product range plans by product/grade
  • Effectively manage the allocation implications for trial lines, scarce stock lines, hype products, marketing items, best sellers and recent deliveries
  • Liaise with Product Merchandising colleagues to understand the weekly trading performance of each category and execute any trading decisions made which impact allocation & replenishment
  • Develop an awareness of how stock management decisions impact category performance and final profit
  • Act as the main point of contact with stores for branch merchandising queries and eCommerce stock queries
  • Maintain a commercial and customer focus in all activities and decisions
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the schuh customer and expectations they have when shopping with us
  • Keep abreast of sales performance understanding best and worst sellers
  • Demonstrate a passion for the products we sell and an awareness of market trends

The Person:

  • Highly numerate and analytical - competent user of advanced excel, confident in use of data and standard retail systems
  • Excellent time management and communication skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Awareness of retail industry and competition within sector
  • Role models schuh values and demonstrates an ability to work consistently to high standards
  • Is self-motivated to achieve
