THE WHAT…

Our Brand and Campaigns Marketing Manager sits in our Marketing team and is based at our Support Centre in Hemel Hempstead with the option to work from home one day per week, and occasional travel to our centres required.

The responsibilities of the Brand and Campaigns Marketing Manager include:

  • Support the Head of Marketing in the implementation of the marketing strategy
  • Own the national retail calendar, campaigns, key trading dates and local centre initiatives that support the strategic marketing goals
  • Manage the national paid advertising programme through the media agency
  • Manage the programme of PR activity, through the PR agency, including brand activations, news hijacking opportunities, local and regional media competitions
  • Support the launch of new initiatives either nationally or to local markets, e.g. new centre openings or refurbishments
  • Manage the measurement of the effectiveness of marketing activities
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of marketing information systems to support the business
  • Manage the support for centre and regional teams with tactical marketing initiatives for attraction/engagement/retention of customers
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to KPI’s, including creative agencies, print and stock management, PR, Media, merchandise, graphic designers, content creators and AV
  • Identify and champion opportunities to enhance customer experience along the customer journey
  • Manage research and customer insight activities
  • Create, develop and manage marketing assets, including writing copy for different audiences and channels
  • Managing the national charity partnership to maximising the exposure of activities and fundraising
  • Produce multi-channel, integrated marketing campaigns and support the marketing team to deliver across channels for all customer groups, e.g. internal comms, website, social media, POS, eComms, in-centre screens and music
  • Give brand guidance support for the marketing team and wider business, including across web, social media and CRM
  • Manage the print and stock management system
  • Keep accurate records of spend and ROI across all marketing activities you are involved in
  • Responsible for the accurate recording of costs and invoices against the central marketing budget
  • Line management of a team of four, including social media marketing manager, marketing executives, marketing assistant

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A strong understanding and experience of marketing strategy and tactics
  • Good knowledge and experience of working with the full marketing mix, digital advertising channels and techniques including media agency management, branding principles, creative and brand communications including creative agency management, integrated marketing communications, risk and reputation management, customer experience, digital integration, partnership management and product management
  • Passion for championing the customer and using insights to drive customer experience improvements across the customer journey
  • Considerable previous experience in a similar role in a fast paced, commercially focused multi-site business
  • Passion and track record for working with creative, content, PR and print agencies
  • Knowledge of and experience of digital marketing channels, including but not limited to social media, performance media, and content creation, and influencer campaigns
  • Experience of monitoring and measuring, e.g. through brand tracking and campaign performance measurement
  • Management of external agencies including print, creative, PR, content
  • Budget management
  • Team management and development
  • Full driving licence and access to own vehicle
