Job Title: Brand Change & Innovation Manager, CCA - Six months
Location: Panama
Type of contract: Secondment / Fixed Term - 6 months

About the role

  • To support the creation and execute the CCA Innovation & Brand Change project pipeline. These are key areas that will deliver the growth of the business and the cost savings objectives of Supply.
  • The Role will need to lead the BC&I processes from liquid and pack design to commercialization and production phases, overseeing that all due diligence is conducted, that risks are managed and shared with key stakeholders and that COGs are developed to achieve the best quality and cost.
  • The role is responsible of engaging and managing all key stakeholders such as Brand Technical Centers, R&D, Marketing and Innovation leads in markets and at a Global level.
  • Provide functional and strategic leadership for Innovation, Brand redesigns and Brand Value Engineering projects that support the delivery of CCA’s ambition.
  • Full program ownership and leadership of Supply’s delivery programs from Gate 1 through to 90 days post-launch in full and on budget while hitting cost of goods targets and maintaining quality.
  • Provides Supply input and commercial grounding during project development phases, driving resolution of commercialization hurdles that may arise and managing regular project communications to Supply and Demand project sponsors, Technical Operations and the broader Supply community.
  • Nurtures and builds exceptional relationships with stakeholders and decision makers in Demand and throughout the Supply organization (both CCA and Global).
  • Utilizes expert project management skills to develop and manage project timelines, address both technical and resourcing challenges and ensures risk profiles and mitigation plans are developed and executed for each project.
  • Conduct the technical development of packaging components inclusive of creating, routing, and approval of specifications.
  • The role needs to understand the end-to-end supply chain, the commercial implications and provide timelines and data to all the internal departments and find the best Supply solution that will take into account the cost and the speed of execution working with the decision support teams to develop the business case and value chains. The role will need to help prioritize the projects and tasks, influencing the key stakeholder to guarantee execution is focused and quick.
  • The BC&I role can be the PMO (Program Manager) organizing and leading the PEC (Portfolio Execution Committee) that determines Resource.
  • Provide monthly KPIs for Global reporting and utilize RCPS and project learning sessions to implement corrective actions and introduce processes to improve performance.
  • Innovation has the objective of being 20% of the NSV growth in the next 5 years.
  • Collect the information necessary to determine the COGs of projects working with procurement, technical, co-packers, Diageo plants and tax and finance.
  • Manage risks by utilizing “underwrites” forms and risk assessment tools following the World Class Commercialization procedure.

Key Outputs/Deliverables:

  • Delivering the projects at pace according to the agreed timeline and cost (OTIF Gate 3 and at COGS).
  • Ensuring exemplary project governance and supply project management is utilized in handling the projects and other tools such as RCPS (Root Cause Problem Solving), Risk Matrix, Stakeholder management tools.
  • Put in place good communication and reporting on risks and progress of projects.
  • Legal compliance – knowledge of complex legal restrictions registration, product classification and labeling.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, focus on delivery and ability to engage people in cross functional teams throughout the business in many markets.
  • Engagement with all Technical and Supply centers to ensure resources are assigned to the project in order to guarantee delivery.

About You:

  • Bachelor degree in a Technical / Science discipline (Packaging, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Food Science, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience, being 3-5 years’ experience in new products development and quality assurance from either consumer goods or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Proven Project management experience and skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing or purchasing is an advantage.
  • Fluent English and Spanish are required.
  • Availability for travelling across Central America & Caribbean (15% of time post Covid)
