BRAND DESIGNER | FULL-TIME, PERMANENT

Works onsite in Calgary, AB
Work schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Mandatory in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday
Remote optional days are on Wednesday and Thursday

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Tiller is looking for a Brand Designer to produce stunning and impactful visual branding for a range of tech and B2B SaaS companies. We are looking for someone who is passionate about creative strategy, cutting edge design, and collaboration with a cross-functional project team to produce work that drives measurable results.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

  • Conceptualize ideas to meet both creative and business goals within the project scope
  • Create stunning, strategic brand identities, assets, and guides
  • Produce moodboards and visual concepts based on research, business objectives, and brand expertise
  • Apply visual styles appropriately to UI, presentation decks, marketing collateral, and digital assets in a way that maintains brand integrity
  • Anticipate and solve for potential brand and UI challenges
  • Be an advocate for achieving client business goals through creative solutions and be able to articulate design rationale clearly in verbal and written formats
  • Consult with technical disciplines to ensure designs work within constraints and files are prepared with necessary information to support creative strategy and usage
  • Review final deliverables with an exacting eye, ensuring layout, graphics, and typography are flawless
  • Seek opportunities to refine design thinking and improve workflows
  • Solicit and action feedback in an organized way to meet project requirements and timelines

YOU MAY BE FIT FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU:

  • Have 7+ years design experience in an in-house team or agency
  • Have a strong portfolio that shows creativity, diversity, and a range of visual branding and UI skill sets, such as identity design, illustration, animation, iconography, etc.
  • Demonstrate strategic application of a unified brand experience across multiple materials, such as brand guides, pitch decks, digital assets, UI, etc.
  • Can evaluate and provide recommendations to elevate existing brand experience based on business goals and audience needs
  • Have a passion for nurturing relationships, guiding, and rallying teams to align around a compelling brand vision
  • Have strong communication and presentation skills and are able to articulate ideas clearly to internal project team and external clients
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced, creative workplace and to deliver quality design at a high volume in a tight timeframe
  • Have expert-level experience with design tools including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Figma
  • Can work effectively remotely and in office
