Description:

FocusKPI is looking for a Brand Strategist to join the Brand & Creative Team within our client.
Work Location: Remote - anywhere in the US
Duration: 12 months contract with possibility of extension depending on your performance & budget
Pay Range: $65/hr to $75/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Naming
  • Drive naming projects for major product, feature, and event launches - from discovery, briefing, to name generation, alignment, then rollout (internal and external)
  • Connect brand foundations and long-term product vision
  • Evolve naming process for consistency, coherency, and scale
  • Brand strategy
  • Support portfolio brand positioning, brand research, brand development, and brand systems design
  • Support brand refresh across go-to-market and product integration
  • Form and evangelize brand POVs - backed by data, evidence, and craft expertise
  • Influence brand-level messaging, marketing, and advertising

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience
  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience with naming, brand strategy, positioning, and messaging
  • Top 3 tech skills: Async collaboration, decision making, documentation, and excellent live facilitation of video meetings
  • Top 3 soft skills: Have done plenty of hands-on naming- from soup to nuts (not just a manager of the process), excellent written and verbal communication, ability to facilitate alignment diplomatically, and translating the audience needs into compelling brand stories
  • Experience in multiple industries. Consumer tech & B2B SaaS is a plus.
  • Able to prioritize, manage deadlines, and work both independent and collaboratively in a
  • fast-paced, highly dynamic environment
  • Comfortable collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including brand experts and brand
  • novices.
  • Embrace agile approach to developing brand strategy and rolling it out
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal) with a concise and open style
  • Bonus points for naming in more than one industry, including B2B SaaS naming experience
