Description:
The RoleAs a Briefing and Liaison Officer, you will autonomously manage and report on all incoming and outgoing correspondence for Clinical Planning & Service Strategy (CPSS) . This role involves preparing, collating, and editing outgoing CPSS correspondence to ensure the provision of accurate, timely, and relevant information. You will coordinate and manage the preparation of briefing notes, discussion papers, and advice for CPSS, the Deputy Director-General, Director-General, Cabinet & Parliamentary Services, the Minister for Health, Mental Health and Ambulance Services, and Minister for Women and the Department of the Premier & Cabinet. Additionally, you will assist in resolving issues arising from conflicting information, ensuring consistency with Government policy and Departmental objectives.
The Briefing and Liaison Officer liaises, negotiates, and consults with senior management and officers across the Department to ensure timely completion of correspondence while fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will review, evaluate, and improve divisional records management and correspondence systems, procedures, and guidelines. Responsibilities include managing the departmental records management systems, ensuring divisional branches maintain these systems appropriately, and developing and delivering training on correspondence and records management across CPSS. You will provide administrative support, contribute to the development of business and administrative policies, and maintain sensitivity and confidentiality in all stakeholder interactions. In addition, actively support quality human resource management practices, including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behaviour, adhering to defined service quality standards to ensure high-quality, safe services and workplaces.
