Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Executive Director of Budget is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation processes within an organization. This role involves strategic financial management, ensuring the efficient use of resources, and aligning the budget with the organization’s goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Planning and Budgeting:
Develop and implement the organization’s annual budget and long-term financial plans.
Align the budgeting process with the strategic goals and priorities of the organization.
Coordinate with various departments to gather budgetary requirements and ensure comprehensive financial planning.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial management, budgeting, or a related role.
Proven track record of managing large and complex budgets in a senior leadership capacity.
Experience in a non-profit, public sector, or large corporate environment is an asset.

SKILLS:

Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
