Description:

At The Wise Seeker we are looking for a Build Integration Manager to our client: is amongst the largest global automation companies with a strength of 1300+ employees and multiple facilities worldwide, with its headquarters in Pune, India. Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN), a business of Wipro Enterprises (P) Limited, set up its automation business in 2018 as a solutions provider for Industrial Automation.

Tasks

  • Direct responsibilities include overseeing the transition from electro-mechanical assembly of robot systems to fully functioning, field-ready units
  • Oversee build teams that are responsible for managing bring-up, and initial debug task as well as managing the device build and compatibility database
  • Provide the necessary link between electro-mechanical and software
  • Interface with team members, and document development and progress
  • Oversight of new build integration, system upgrades, database management and debugging
  • Foster a team-based environment
  • Assume floor responsibilities for documentation and data control, control of the assembly, measuring and test equipment that meet engineering specifications.
  • Drive employee satisfaction through a positive and productive work environment with a highly skilled and effective workforce that promotes professionalism, accountability, with sense of urgency to meet planned dates and customer requirements.
  • Ensure staff is trained and operates to Quality, Safety and Corporate procedures.
  • Review capacity demand on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis and maintain staffing of contractors and employees to meet production requirements for firm and forecasted production.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Managers and Senior management to ensure manufacturing efficiencies are enhanced, while also meeting the needs of the project teams and customers’ requirements.
  • Partner with manufacturing staffing resources, manufacturing engineering and facilities groups to maintain, grow & justify new equipment efficiently and floor space to meet production requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and productive manufacturing work environment.
  • Track key Performance Indicators on a weekly basis and lead the team to ensure they meet or exceed project deliverables.
  • Work with the senior management to set aggressive manufacturing approach for building and developing team to ensure on time, on budget, with quality deliveries.
  • Manage and update contractor and employee training program consistent with needs.
  • Actively support strategic initiatives & objectives

Requirements

  • Experience - 8-10 years
  • Education - Engineering , Mechanical or automation background
  • Experience with building automation equipment
  • Experience as plant manager in Power-train/battery assembly lines
  • Experience of overseeing transition from electro-mechanical assembly of robot systems to fully functioning, field-ready units will be a great fit
  • Someone with working knowledge of building & integrated industrial automation with proven ability to read and understand engineering documents
  • Experience in team management/leadership
