Description:

Imagination Sydney is looking for an experienced, client facing Build Producer for a full time role. Primarily focussed on producing custom build and exhibition elements for a wide range of events and experiential activations. Experience with producing other elements of events would be an advantage as the role will involve working on projects in an event producer capacity when required.
The role requires an ability to work closely with the Imagination creative team and develop ideas into physical experiences. Crucial to our success is the ability to drive our world-class suppliers to scope all build and installation elements
Confidence to act as the sole agency representative onsite and experience in managing detailed budgets and production timelines is essential.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Administrative & organisational skills.
  • Prior construction, technical management, stage management, or similar live-event work.
  • A good knowledge of Australian venues
  • A good level of computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with knowledge of technical drawing packages (e.g.Vectorworks) an advantage.
  • A clear and confident telephone manner and an ability to produce accurate, clear documentation for suppliers and clients.
  • A solid understanding of AV, particularly within the exhibition / technical demo environment
  • An understanding of hotel & travel working practices
  • An understanding of event registration
  • Knowledge of a foreign language (particularly Cantonese, Mandarin) would also be useful, but not essential.
  • Prior experience working with designers and creative directors
  • Experience working with best-in-class suppliers to the event industry

  • A flexible attitude to working hours. These are variable depending on project commitments, some long hours and weekend work should be expected from time to time.

  • Be able to travel interstate and internationally when required by the project. The role generally involves office-based pre-production with relatively short periods, usually no more than one week, spent on site delivering projects.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Producer is the communication link between Imagination and its best-in-class suppliers. The Producer is at the centre of all deliverables on a project and is responsible for quality, timing, budget and OHS.
This specific role of Producer primarily focuses on the production of custom build and exhibition elements, becoming more general event focussed when required. Pending project size & scope, it requires working in a team or working alone, engaging experts, being ‘hands on’ when required, attention to detail and a complete overview, researching methods and products and delivering newly innovated solutions.
Being a Producer presents an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic group of people, global travel & development of a large range of skills..
As part of a growing build-environment team, the Producer will be responsible for leading small to medium projects or being part of a larger team on more complex projects. In this particular role, the Producer will be responsible for taking creative ideas, and turning them into amazing experiences.
We will look to the Producer to develop strong client relationships within client accounts and seek to become a go-to and requested resource by our key clients for excellent event delivery. Our supplier relationships are also essential to the successful delivery of events, and the Producer will be responsible for building on existing and new relationships with world-class suppliers.
There is an opportunity to nurture and mentor junior members of the team and in turn get exposure to other departments within the business to grow your experience and skill base.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Producer is responsible for budget, scheduling and delivery of all logistical, technical and fabricated elements, at all stages of a project.
