My client a major multinational here in Galway are seeking a Building Coordinator to join them.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in facilities coordinator field.
- Detailed knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, circuitry, and load management.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills required.
- Ability to join the on-call team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment to meet timelines.
- Good understanding of Lab operations and the support needed within a GMP environment.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Able to manage time effectively and be organised.
- Strong understanding of GMP.
- Ability to adhere to cleanroom / laboratory / warehouse policies and standard operating procedures.
- Proficient digital literacy.
- May require advanced knowledge of building systems including but not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security and fire systems.
- Ability to work with diverse workforce with multifaceted requirements.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate resources to meet our customer’s needs.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
The Building Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the building facilities. This role involves managing vendor relationships, coordinating maintenance and repair activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Building Coordinator will also serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related issues and people interfacing systems. This role will also be essential to Business Continuity on site, ERT, the on-call process, critical external site visits.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality.
- Understands and complies with all the regulations governing the quality systems.
- Ensures all direct reports are aware of their commitment to patient safety and product quality, are current with their training requirements and that they understand and comply with all other regulations governing their work.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair activities for building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical systems.
- Support the Soft Services Manager through day-to-day supervision of the Cleaning, Catering and Security team.
- Conduct regular inspections of the building facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and requests regarding facility-related issues, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including building codes, fire safety regulations, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate moves, renovations, and construction projects within the building, including scheduling contractors, obtaining permits, and communicating with stakeholders.
- Assist with budget planning and expense tracking for facility maintenance and operations.
- Assist with the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of building systems and equipment.
- Supports the running of the plant through the on-call process.
