Do you have experience working with industrial building maintenance? In this role, you perform various skilled trade work from general maintenance to specialty tasks like plumbing. Apply today and spend your days doing what you love while enjoying the various County benefits.

  • Perform repairs and upgrades to different building systems including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other general maintenance items.
  • Maintain and investigate repairs of multiple building systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and Florida Statute testing services on domestic water backflow devices on county owned or maintained buildings.
  • Perform and document test results with multiple water districts.
  • Accompany vendors and contracted service providers to facility/location and shows them/explains required repairs and service needed.
  • Maintain clean work environment including Mechanical Rms.
  • Identify potential code violations and take necessary steps to report or rectify those violations.
  • Complete maintenance records and maintenance logs via Maximo, Archibus or other designated process or software programs.

Work Hours: Wednesday – Saturday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. *On-Call Required.
About You

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of experience in performing building trade work in commercial, institutional, or governmental building maintenance.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Backflow Prevention Tester that’s recognized by the State of Florida.

Physical Demands: Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
CJIS Clearance: **The successful candidate will be subject to an extensive background check(s) as a part of the hiring process.

Starting Pay Range: $21.07 (Step 1) may be higher based on experience
