DESCRIPTION

• Duration: 5 months
• Bilingualism: French mandatory. English optional.
• Possibility of extension
• Remote work: Hybrid. 2 days at the office in Montreal and 3 days remote.

Main mandate:

• Evaluate current insurance systems to inventory various functions and identify potential improvements and efficiencies.
• Identify changes to current processes by proposing new ways of operating and alternatives to outdated technologies.
• Update procedure documentation and process mapping.
• Participate in the evaluation of new technological solutions.
• Contribute to the transformation and modernization of technological and operational practices by promoting their adoption.
• Play an active role in the implementation of new technological solutions and their adoption by team members.
• Carry out high-level, detailed impact analyses from all angles of the process, with the help of experts.
• Make proposals for change management strategy.

Other mandates

• Determine business needs, manage impacts on operations and help recommend the most optimal solutions.
• Manage stakeholders and work to reconcile different interests.
• Conduct business analyses to support solutions by documenting requirements in business specifications for solution designers and developers.
• Understand business issues, identify stakeholder needs, propose and implement strategies and solutions, taking into account the varied nature of issues to support project delivery.
• Provide IT application support to team members and business units as required.
• Participate in the delivery of solutions that adequately meet business needs and fit with the target architecture.
• Participate in the performance of various analyses (context, issues, impacts, functional, non-functional and informational, processes, business rules) to produce a diagnosis of the gaps between the current situation and the target situation.
• Participate in sound end-to-end change management.
• Prerequisites:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five years’ relevant experience, or Master’s degree in a related field and three years’ relevant experience.
• At least 5 years’ experience in IT business analysis
• Knowledge of insurance (asset)
• Business analysis skills in a technology-driven ecosystem
• Knowledge of business process improvement and mapping: business capabilities, modeling, BPMN, Lean approach
• Experience with test scenarios and user support
• Ability to think strategically, analytical, synthesis and communication skills
• Knowledge of Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, …).
