Coventry Bereavement Service work tirelessly to deliver the highest possible standards of service to all bereaved families at their time of need.
We are responsible for the provision of burial across 6 cemeteries located city wide, the management of Canley Crematorium and Gardens of Remembrance as well as various other sundry services including the provision of Public Health Funerals and post cremation memorialsation. Through the hard work, commitment and dedication of our skilled team of colleagues we are able to deliver a highly demanding service demonstrating both empathy and compassion.

We will provide you with an environment where you can flourish by providing training, promote personal growth and learn new skills all whilst helping to deliver essential services to the bereaved.
What is the job role?
Under the general direction of the Senior Burial Supervisor, and having due regard for the needs of the bereaved, be responsible for the supervision of burials, provide a caring and efficient burial service, and represent the service to a range of stakeholders.
Who are we looking for?
You will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, and communicate in all forms including face-to-face, in writing, and by telephone in a caring and empathetic manner with bereaved families, members of the public, and stakeholders accordingly.
You will have excellent problem-solving capabilities, in-depth knowledge, and a detailed understanding of the Local Authorities Cemeteries Order. You will also have previous experience working within the Bereavement Service industry.

  • Your knowledge and understanding of the Local Authorities Cemeteries Order
