The Bus Driver/After Care Assistant teacher will help support the day-to-day operations of the after-school program including transportation on daily routes, activities, arts and crafts, games, educational programs, and homework.

Responsibilities:
- Transport children on daily routes and weekly field trips.
- Always promotes safety by keeping first aid supplies on bus fully stocked.
- Ensures the bus rules are announced and followed.
- Complete thorough before-and-after trip checks each day and records all information, such as gas level, mileage, and maintenance designated forms.
- Cleans out bus each day.
- Helps with the daily operations of the after-school
- Assists with activities such as homework, games, arts and crafts, and educational programs.
- Enforces all YMCA childcare rules and regulations and ensures safety in the
- Greets new arrivals and introduces them to other
- Reports camper complaints to leadership and helps to resolve the

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 21 years of
- Possess appropriate class license.
- Safe driving record. A current MVR will be required.
- Knowledge of the rules/guidelines related to commercial passenger vehicles (bus).
- Previous experience working with children
- Must pass reference checks and background screenings, which include fingerprint check.
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills
