Job Description
An exciting opportunity to join the hardworking but friendly Neurophysiology team as a Business Administration Level 3 Apprentice.

The major responsibilities of the role are working with and assisting the Neurophysiology Department office to provide both clerical and administrative support to the team. The role will play a vital part in the administration and smooth-running of the department and the individual will be involved with the co-ordination and implementation of office procedures and will have responsibility for specific projects and tasks.

  • To use the ‘Patient Centre’ office management system to administer patient appointments and reports.
  • Providing a general administrative service within the Neurophysiology Office.
  • Answering the telephones - handling enquiries, taking messages, and relaying these to the relevant team members.
  • Review of departments e-mail inbox for urgent and in-patient referrals.
  • Clinical coding of activity.
  • To study towards the academic elements of the level 3 apprenticeship.
  • To learn a range of admin and clerical tasks to facilitate the smooth running of the department.
  • To assist with medical records management.
  • To assist with the management of waiting list information.
  • To assist with patient appointments.
  • To assist with clinical report typing and distribution.
  • To assist with activity data management.
  • To assist with general office tasks.
  • To learn and apply use to a range of software applications to include Microsoft Office, Patient Centre, EPRO, PAS and MINESTRONE with others as appropriate.
  • To assist with management of patient referrals and queries.
  • To actively work towards your Level 3 apprenticeship in preparation for end point assessment.
