MaKami College has an exciting Part-time opportunity for an experienced Instructor to Instruct and guide MaKami students online through our Business Administrative Assistant program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s in education, or diploma in business or a related field
  • 3 years teaching experience at the post-secondary/adult education/corporate training level
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal); dedication to keeping others informed
  • Strong work ethic, resourceful, and motivation to take initiative

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous teaching experience, at the post-secondary/adult education or a combination thereof
  • Experience using Moodle, or a similar LMS system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to work in a team or independently
  • Flexible and adaptable to different teaching and tutoring strategies based on student needs
  • Strong personal initiative to seek ways that will improve the curriculum and program delivery
  • Superior interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and communication skills required
  • Creative, innovative and problem-solving skills required

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other instructors and team members as required
  • Monitoring the online progress of students in their program
  • Facilitating online classes via teams
  • Grading and tracking of students
  • Curriculum development and improvement
  • Providing timely and constructive feedback for students and answering student questions
  • Ensuring students are meeting course objectives
  • Communicating expectations of the course
  • Providing students with educational support and effective study strategies
  • Motivating students to participate in all aspects of the educational process actively
  • Collaboratively working with faculty to improve course delivery, resources, and curriculum
  • Monitor the progress of students in the online course, ensuring their successful attainment of learning outcomes and completion of the program
