Job Title: Business Analysis Practice Lead
Reporting To: Head of Enterprise Change
Position Type: Permanent, Mon-Fri, 9-5
Why Tokio Marine HCC?
TMHCC has recently created its Enterprise Change function and we are now looking for a high calibre, ambitious and driven senior business analyst to head up the Centre of Excellence for our enterprise change business analysts and to create and run the Community of Practice for all Business Analysts working in the TMHCC business.

Role Purpose
Business analysis is a core part of the enterprise change capability model. We are now ready to establish both a Centre of Excellence and Community of Practice for business analysis. We are searching for a BA to lead the maturity of the practice and lead the Enterprise Change Business Analysts.
This role is the figurehead for Business Analysis and will champion and represent the practice in a number of ways. Whilst this is a leadership role that requires a mix of matrix and line management, there will be elements of the role that require you to bring your business analysis skills to the fore to solve problems and deliver change.

Specifically, this role is to:

  • Manage the Enterprise Change Business Analysis function and lead the Business Analysts within it
  • Line management of Enterprise Change Business Analysts to include development goals and performance reviews
  • Assess the demand, then source and supply Business Analysis capacity working with internal teams, delivery partners and preferred suppliers
  • Work to improve the flexibility of our sourcing solution whilst driving quality of delivery
  • Provide senior level oversight and assurance on business analysis activities within Enterprise Change delivery
  • Develop the career and development pathways for the Business Analysis practice as part of the Community of Practice
  • Create mentoring, coaching and buddying relationships for Business Analysts throughout the business
  • Create the support network to allow Business Analysts from across the Enterprise to drive continuous improvement, sharing information, leverage established and emerging techniques, considering multiple channels to reach the Community of Practice
  • Mature good practice for the Business Analysis function including defining a repeatable framework, full service catalogue, templates and tooling irrespective of change delivery method (project and product)
  • Establish good practice for scope and requirements management, including non functional requirements and traceability to enable effective quality assurance
  • Support the Enterprise PMO and other enterprise functions in considering scope and requirements at an organizational design level
  • Work closely with Business Architecture to ensure alignment of working practices and processes, together enabling strategic level visibility of opportunities and change roadmaps

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Multiple change methodology experience, particularly project and product teams
  • Strategic analysis (SWOT/Porter 5 Forces/Balanced Scorecard)
  • Demonstrable experience working as a senior business analyst within the insurance industry
  • Understanding of regulatory landscape within which an insurance company operates
  • Strong understanding of business processes and organisational structures
  • Strong understanding of the end to end policy journey and insurance capability model
