Role Summary
Reporting to the Head of Transfer Agency, GFS Asia the role will be responsible, in collaboration with product, operations, technology leads, for the execution of the Transfer Agency strategic roadmap for GFS Asia.
The key responsibility for a Consultant/Senior Consultant, will be to perform the business analysts function within the Transfer Agency business unit, including but not limited to the design of the future state operating model in partnership with transformation, product and technology teams, gathering operational requirements, creation of detailed business requirements documentation, ensuring operational readiness, implementation execution and operational handover for each defined milestone project and all related business analyst tasks.
The role will assist in managing delivery risk, maximising the program outcomes, and ensuring ongoing alignment to deliver the program intent and realise the quantified and qualitative benefits.
What You Will Do

The key responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):

  • Engage stakeholders (internal, external and 3rd parties) to ratify scope and objectives. Establish clear roles & responsibilities of the stakeholders involved in the projects
  • Identify cross/multi-project dependencies (where appropriate) and align plans across all.
  • Facilitating workshops with stakeholder groups to identify requirements
  • Documenting “As Is” and “To Be” processes, using narratives, process flows, swim lanes diagrams etc
  • Ensure all gaps/developments identified, and steps to resolve/complete are agreed and documented.
  • Draw up Business Requirement to clearly document the business requirements to IT and other stakeholders for development. The role is required to work closely with Transformation, Business and IT
  • Diligently following up on the open action items until completion: Monitor progress and maintain regular, timely & accurate communications to all stakeholders.
  • Present the project at standard governance & steering meetings.
  • Provide reporting to various stakeholder audiences, setting & managing expectations at all stages.
  • Managing changes to plans and business requirements.
  • Lead workshops with Transformation, Technology and Business partners to define and document project requirements.
  • Maintain governance by following project management best practice and use of approved document templates.
  • Keep all documents up to date, accurate, formatted, in correct folder structure, version controlled, ready for audit inspections.
  • Monitor issue resolution and capture approach; feed into Lessons Learnt for the benefit of future projects and encourage others within project team to record and advise of other potential process improvements.

About You:

  • Strong knowledge of Investment Funds, with particular emphasis on Transfer Agency including Platforms
  • In depth knowledge of Singapore regulations, AML requirements, CPF/SRS flows, distributor flows
  • Business Analysis certification is desirable
  • Previous transition / platform migration experience is essential.
  • Previous experience of Change Management/Business Analysis in an equivalent role
  • Experience of managing delivery of software solutions in line with client’s technical specifications and/or business model requirements
  • Must be able to work effectively with all levels of staff and management in IT, business units and vendors.
  • Project management skill: Experience with large scale projects, and cross-team collaboration is a must.
  • Problem solving and timely escalation to senior management when encounter to ensure project meet the target timeline.
  • Delivery & Quality focused; positive committed attitude towards excellence, managing expectations and maintaining positive relationships with sometimes multi-layered/complex stakeholder audiences
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent influencing & persuasion skills, gaining commitment from internal, client and 3rd party contacts to deliver project requirements and getting support from management internally to implement actions key to project success
  • Strong Presentation skill: Excellent communication skills, verbal, written. Prepare and present to internal/external audiences at all levels

Experience Required
Should have 7-10+ years TA experience with thorough knowledge of Business Analyst procedures and processes, Proficient in using MS Project application, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint and other management reporting tools.
