Description:

Purpose and Overall Relevance for the Organization:
The general purpose of Business Analytics is to be a data driven consultant for the entire INTERSPORT International team by providing recommendations to enable and drive fact-based decisions. The Business Analytics Function supports the business to achieve sales targets as well as the strategy by creating a holistic reporting landscape (standard reporting set up) and analyzing relevant KPIs (e.g. for ranging & making better assortment decisions). This function acts as a partner to provide support, guidance and clarity to the INTERSPORT KAMs.
Additionally, acting as the go-to-person for all IIC Data Exchange Platform matters, internally and externally and manage the development process in favor of adidas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independent monitoring and reporting of sales data (focus on Sell-In)
  • Regularly create, process and analyze sell in data from INTERSPORT (typical areas: Total, Country, Category, Segments, Product)
  • Hand back insights & recommendations to the KAMs & Activation Team
  • Produce analytical insights / product level sales reports and deeper category analyzes for sell in’s (pre order) and future based discussions on order book/ assortments/ NOS / ReOrder / business (follow up of deadlines e.g. cut-off dates and track order income)
  • Monitor and analyze the impact of campaigns
  • Identification of slow-sellers and best-sellers as well as order cancellation and return processes
  • Support, present, discuss business developments with the sales teams on regular basis
  • Support in creating analyses for strategic/internal use and customer meetings
  • Utilizing available tools (like Microstrategy, BI, SAP) and training Account Manager in using standardized reporting provided by Microstrategy
  • Play a key role in supporting the department head in building customer facing information tools that manifest the account strategy of adidas (INTERSPORT Game Plan Tracker)
  • Work within the accounts´ Data Exchange Platforms with direct access to their systems for adidas and liaise directly with the account
  • Support sales teams with ad hoc queries and identify business trends
  • Track and monitor the sales working budget in alignment with the superior and activation team, including regular monitoring for budgets, approval of invoices to ensure correct accounting transactions
  • Process the yearly contract related payments to IIC (4 Fields of Coop)
  • Occasionally e.g. during its vacation replace the “Administrative Assistant”

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Deep understanding of numbers and analytical skills
  • Problem-solving skills, comfort with Sales/Product Data and good understanding of sales KPIs
  • Data driven mindset and attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (esp. Excel, Power Point)
  • Experience with data visualization & business intelligence tools is a plus ( MicroStrategy, BI,…)
  • Very good command of English both written and spoken and communication skills in English
  • Deep understanding of operational processes
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • High level of service orientation in dealing with internal and external stakeholders/customer

Required Education and Experience / Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in business administration or equivalent education
  • Practical experience with data collection and analysis systems
  • At least 5 years of experience in job and fully qualified/trained
  • Good knowledge in related job areas
